Ashley took a dance sampler class in the Fall from DANCE Studios. She decided she would like to continue with a Hip Hop/Jazz class. She really took to the style, technique and memorization, under great instruction from Ms. Becky. So for the past 7 weeks, she practiced hard to learn her 4 minute-- Boom Box Mix number. They had a Christian Hip Hop piece, broadway, classical, country and opera mix. She had to learn parts of 5 dances. Her team worked hard. This was the first year the Dance studio performed in a larger building for the recital. They got to be on the grand stage, with sound and lights. Ashley said she wasn't nervous because she was with her class. They had a 2 hour rehearsal on Friday and Saturday, May 18th was the performance! They did a fantastic job. Grandma and grandpa, aunt Heidi and cousin Lillian all came to watch!( I will post those pics later...)
