I took Ashley to Cici's pizza for lunch yesterday. We were walking out and she spotted, Merry X-Mas on a poster. She said, "Mom do they celebrate X-mas in Iowa? A girl in my class is going to Iowa to celebrate X-mas with her family."
I was chuckling inside as I explained that it is shortened version of Christmas.
On another note, Ashley was reading our daily kid's devotional before school. It was talking about sharing Jesus with friends. She came home later that day and told me that she asked her friends if they knew the true meaning of Christmas? They did... But, how great that Ashley bravely and quickly applied what she learned that morning. It says in the Bible that a child shall lead them.
It made me think..
