My mother-in-law has been battling Ovarian cancer for 4 years now. She just found out that the cancer is progressing and the chemo is not working. We knew this day would come, but when you actually hear it, it is hard to swallow.
We would covet your prayers for our family: God's mercy, healing (if that is His will), wisdom and understanding. This also means a lot of travel to and from the Twin Cities. We know God has the perfect plan for her life.
Jeff traveled to the Cities for Wed-Frid morning. He was able to meet with his family and be there for them.
Linda is strong in her faith in God and she has fought a tremendous battle with great courage.
Processing this news has been difficult, but God is still in the midst of this. He has provided the right scripture and songs to aid in comfort. We do not face this alone!
Here are some verses that have helped me:
Psalm 31:7 "I am overcome with joy because of your unfailing love, for you have seen my troubles, and you care about the anguish of my soul."
Psalm 32:8
"The Lord says,'I will guide you along the best pathway for your life. I will advise you and watch over you."
Psalm 33:20-22
"We depend on the Lord alone to save us. Only he can help us, protecting us like a shield. In him our hearts rejoice, for we are trusting in his holy name. Let your unfailing love surround us, Lord, for our hope is in you alone."
