We started a tradition, several years ago, to each write a letter to JESUS. We include things we want to work on...among others. We read the one from last year as well. Then we put them in a box. This year we are going to check our letters mid-way through the year, and see our progress.
God also gave me the idea to have a prayer time with the kids. We had a time of praise, thanksgiving, confession and we prayed a special Bible verse for each person.
