We've been dealing with fears at night, with Darin, for a long time. We have talked and prayed and talked and prayed about fears and trusting God. So, out of frustration and impatience,I asked God to speak loudly to Darin about his fears. God answers! Darin's memory verse for Wednesday night was from 1 Peter 5:7 "Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you." Then later that day, Jeff opened up the boy's devotional with Darin and at the bottom of the page was the same verse in a slightly different way...God is at work! We serve a living,moving awesome God.
Then, that same week, Ashley asked if she could have a written plan to read through the Bible. So, we did some research and found a The One Year Bible for Kids, which helps them read through the Bible in a managable way. Never underestimate God working on the heart of your child, even when we don't always see it. Ashley knew her dad was reading through the Bible and her Wednesday night church leader also spoke about reading through the Bible. God you are amazing and you continue to amaze me.
