Earlier this week I heard my husband talking (on the radio) about the upcoming election. He correlated it to a Bible verse from Jeremiah. The Lord is talking to the faithless Israelites:
"' Return, faithless people,' declares the Lord, 'for I am your husband. I will choose you and bring you to Zion...Then I will give you a shepherd after my own heart, who will lead you with knowledge and understanding.'" Jeremiah 3:14-15
This is what we desire in our upcoming election. Let us turn toward the Lord and seek his direction. We must also pray for God honoring leaders to direct us and guide us.
