We decided to take a traveling/sightseeing trip this year. Friends of ours took a Midwest trip a couple years ago and shared their itinerary. So we decided take this adventure; see new sights and learn about our history.
Our first stop took us to Abraham Lincoln's home in Springfield, IL. It was amazing to learn more about his life and touch the same handrail he used to travel up and down the steps. We also toured the museum. It was very informative. They had cool programs with special effects. At the burial site, it was the biggest memorial site I have seen. We were trying to be quiet and respectful when a big bumble came to annoy us. I ended up whacking it with my bag... as Ashley laughed.
