We stopped in Metamora, IN after a stop over in Indianapolis. It is a unique 1830's town. The town has a canal that was built to transport goods in the the 1830's, before the trains came. We took a canal boat ride, pulled by horses. It rained and stormed a bit during our ride, so we had to cut it short. They also have shops, dining and a working mill.
We learned a lot about the 1800's this trip with Lincoln, the Pioneers, Civil War.. Lewis and Clark..
