It has been our tradition to travel south of town to visit the Country Apple Orchard and pick our favorite apples. This year was a beautiful warm day. My parents were also able to attend with us. Our favorite eating apples are Sweet Sixteens and Honey Golds. I bake with Harrel Reds. I have made applesauce, apple bars (grandma's recipe) apple salad and apples and caramel.
