A poem: by Laura Rupp
Two Feet
Two feet that flutter deep within,
to let me know you are there.
Two feet so tiny and pink,
that soon mark the baby book.
Two feet that love to kick with
joy, excitement or frustration.
Two feet to kiss and bathe,
and learn the story of the Five Little Piggies.
Two feet that learn to stand,
and take one step at a time.
Two feet that march and dance,
and some times tumble down.
Two feet that wrap tightly around my waist,
in a safe, safe place.
Two feet that love to explore outside,
a whole new world awaits.
Two feet that cozy on my lap,
and snuggle longer.
Two feet that try so many new things,
and keep on growing and growing.
Two feet that say a sad "good-bye",
as they march to school.
Two feet that meet a world a way,
no longer keep me company.
Two bigger feet so excited to greet
the smaller ones at the door.
Two feet will always lead home to me.
Inspired by all the memories I have been watching on video of my little ones from birth until now.
Treasure those precious little ones....
